Here I am, back from Greece where I’ve spent a mini – extraordinary vacation . The first stop was THESALONIKI, the second biggest Greek city after Athens. Then, METEORA (in greek: suspended in the air) which houses 24 monasteries transplanted into the top of the mountains, the cradle of the Orthodox Church. From there we went to SOFADES, in the countryside, where I learned to make honey. At the end, STOMION where I ended up on a beautiful a beach (platia amos) …Coming in Greece with Greek friends I opted for the local tourism and culture. Living and being part of these wonderful persons, I learned greek (survival and courtesy) ;-). By chance, the local food is based on lots of vegetables, fresh fish and of course the goat cheese best in the world: FETA. Once again I am convinced that the Mediterranean cuisine is the best, the cultural heritage is rich and our beach is the most beautiful ever. I am deeply sorry for the political and economic situation of Greece and I think it’s fair to encourage tourism (the clever one) and local products.
